OPA! THE SPIRIT OF GREECE COMING SOON TO DOLPHIN MALL WITH TAVERNA OPA RESTAURANT
The combination of great food and celebration arrives in Fall of 2009

MIAMI, FL – June 16, 2009 – Miami’s largest shopping and entertainment destination, Dolphin Mall, will welcome Taverna Opa in the fall of 2009, one of the fastest growing and highly successful restaurant concepts in South Florida and throughout the state of Florida.

Taverna Opa serves traditional Greek family style cuisine in a vibrant, lively setting that captures the flavor of the Greek islands. Opening in Dolphin Mall’s Ramblas Plaza, the 6,000 square foot venue will offer both interior and patio dining with seating for 200 in each. Guests will be energized by the blend of house and traditional Greek music by the restaurant’s DJ, where they are encouraged to dance on the tables during dinner and into the wee hours. The servers dance in Greek “Zorba” style to a variety of Greek songs while belly dancers, dressed in traditional attire, will entertain patrons every night beginning at 8 p.m. The restaurant will be available for large parties, such as anniversaries, birthday parties, sweet sixteen celebrations, bachelorette parties, rehearsal dinners, and corporate and business networking events.

"I am very pleased to be opening Taverna Opa, at Dolphin Mall, and to be offering an authentic taste of Greece to the diners in this area of Miami. Our unique dining and entertainment concept is the perfect fit for this location. We look forward to opening the restaurant and to becoming an integral part of the community," says owner Lirim Jacobi. The original Taverna Opa opened in Hollywood, Florida in 1998. Taverna Opa restaurant’s vision is the embodiment of the Greek spirit of Opa – a gathering place for guests to celebrate the basic elements of life – good, simple food, drinks and music enjoyed with family and friends. Taverna Opa will now have six franchise restaurants throughout Florida: Hollywood, South Beach, Ft. Lauderdale and Orlando along with two franchises owned by veteran restaurateur Lirim Jacobi, who opened Taverna Opa at West Palm Beach’s CityPlace in September 2008 and Dolphin Mall scheduled to open in West Miami-Dade this fall 2009.

Dolphin Mall is an enclosed value retail/entertainment/dining destination with an 850-seat food court and more than 240 retailers. It is located just five miles west of Miami International Airport, where the Dolphin Expressway and the Florida Turnpike intersect. Shoppers can access the mall by taking Exit 27 off of the Florida Turnpike. Hours of operation are Monday through Saturday 10 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. and Sundays 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. with extended hours in the Ramblas entertainment area. FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

DOLPHIN MALL ANNOUNCES COOL DE SAC AND P.F. CHANG’S CHINA BISTRO
Innovative play café and popular Asian restaurant join shopping center

Miami, Fla., May 18, 2009—Moms, dads, and kids will welcome the newest addition to Miami’s largest shopping and entertainment destination, Dolphin Mall, when the interactive family entertainment center cool-de-sac play café opens its second Miami location on the upper-level in the entertainment area in early 2010.

Cool-de-sac play café offers fine quality food using organic and natural ingredients and flavorings for both adults and children. Children ages 3-10 are invited to visit seven different interactive stations designed with age-appropriate activities. Hosts man each station, so parents can enjoy their delicious meals while their children visit the blocks station, arts and crafts, beauty salon, computer station with age-appropriate software, an enclosed play unit allowing for fun workouts, and a new cool-de-sac play café/Dolphin Mall-exclusive feature – a science spot, involving experiments, and a sports station, for older siblings. The open floor plan allows parents unimpeded views of their kids while they dine.

Cool-de-sac play café is the brain child of Jose Luis Bueno, a Mexico City native and marketing professional. He hired a chef from The Palm restaurant to create an appealing and healthy menu for both adults and children, and reconfigured favorites on the children’s menu to retain taste while reducing calories and fat. Adults can enjoy paninis, thin crust pizzas, salmon, pasta, steak, salads, appetizers, and desserts.

The Dolphin Mall cool-de-sac play café will be 10,000 square feet, and feature four large private party rooms for all-inclusive birthday parties; a Party Plaza with tables and chairs for parents; a retail store; Mom-and-tot classes taught by certified pre-school teachers; a grill area, with the menu additions of sirloin and Kobe burgers and a sushi station.

Also, a new dining destination is coming to Dolphin Mall. Opening in fall 2010, P.F. Chang’s China Bistro is a full-service upscale restaurant, known for its modern Chinese cuisine, attentive service and specialty mini desserts all served in a stylish, high-energy bistro. The 7,100 sq. ft. restaurant showcases signature dishes from the five major regions of China, including Canton, Szechwan, Shanghai, Hunan and Mongolia. P.F. Chang’s China Bistro seats 240 guests in addition to outdoor patio seating.

Dolphin Mall is located just five miles west of Miami International Airport at the intersection of the Dolphin Expressway and the Florida Turnpike. Normal hours of operation are Monday through Saturday 10 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. and Sundays 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Preview the stores, the styles and the savings at www.shopdolphinmall.com.

The International Shopping Traveler: New Research Highlights Plans to Visit and Shop the USA in the next 12 months!
Economic Conditions Not Dampening Attractiveness of United States as Destination for International Travelers

BLOOMFIELD HILLS, Mich., May 15, 2009 – More than 50 percent of international shopping travelers surveyed who have visited the United States in the last 12 months are likely to come again over the next year. That’s good news for the U.S. economy according to a study commissioned by Taubman Centers, owner and manager of Dolphin Mall, and Shop America Alliance in partnership with the U.S. Department of Commerce, Office of Travel & Tourism Industries.

New research on The International Shopping Traveler from the top five international inbound markets to the U.S. -- Canada, Mexico, UK, Germany and Japan, representing 75% of all inbound U.S. Travelers -- was conducted by Mandala Research via an online survey in January 2009. Survey respondents in each country, 1760 in total, had visited the U.S. in the past 12 months and had shopped.

Shopping, dining and cultural travel are among the top tourism activities in the U.S. These activities are especially important to international travelers and continue to be so even in these challenging economic times. “Travel and Tourism is an important economic contributor to the retail sector, as we see in our tourism shopping centers. The results from this study are positive for the U.S. travel and shopping industries and for the country overall,” says Robert Taubman, Chairman, President and CEO of Taubman Centers, who also serves on the United States Travel and Tourism Advisory Board.

"The International Shopping Traveler study will help retailers, destinations and travel companies better understand and attract the shopping traveler," says Helen Marano, Director, Office of Travel and Tourism Industries, U.S. Department of Commerce. “This can go a long way in boosting tourism. Shopping certainly spurs visitation to and spending in destinations all across the United States, which, in turn, has a positive impact on the employment and economic health of those areas.”

Highlights of The International Shopping Traveler study results include:

• Nearly 20% of these travelers say they have already booked their next trip to the U.S. and an additional 50% are very likely to visit and shop in the next 12 months.

• SHOPPING DRIVES TRAVEL. For a large number of travelers, shopping influences destination choice. 30% said it was a factor in their choice of destinations, while 23% said it was a key reason for the trip.

• ECONOMIC IMPACT. These travelers allocated a sizeable portion of total trip spend to shopping activities, spending on average $1063 per person on shopping out of a total average of $3692 per total trip, per person. While spending varies by market, the percent of shopping spend reported in the total trip spend was an average of 29%, and as high as 40% with Mexican Shopping Travelers.

Shopping Spend Total Trip Spend Shopping % of total Overall Average $1063 $3692 29% Canada $757 $2490 30% Mexico $1310 $3249 40% UK $968 $3845 25% Japan $1200 $4722 25% Germany $1085 $4127 26%
• APPAREL LEADS. International shoppers most frequently purchased apparel.

• OTHER POPULAR CATEGORIES. Footwear (47%), food/candy (47%) souvenirs (47%), fashion accessories (39%) and cosmetics/beauty products (39%) were key categories purchased by the international shopping traveler.

Miami, FL. (July 22, 2009) — Dolphin Mall’s award-winning online campaign, YearbookYourself, returns for a second year in time for back-to-school shopping. Those wondering about themselves as the high school prom queens, chess club champs, or a variety of other personas they might have been, while sporting various fashions and hairdos through the ages.

Developed and produced with the help of Minneapolis-based ad agency Colle+McVoy, the “Yearbook Yourself” campaign was an instant hit when it launched last fall. More than 15,000,000 visitors to the site uploaded photos in order to see themselves in vintage hairdos and outfits spanning more than five decades. Once “yearbooked,” they sent their photos across the Internet, inspiring a contagious chain of fun that also sparked interest in current fashions featured at Dolphin Mall.

“Yearbook Yourself” recently won the coveted People’s Voice Award in the 13th Annual Webby Awards, the leading international award program honoring excellence on the Internet.

“More than 780,000 people have signed up to be e-mailed when the new site launches,” says Madelyn Bello, Marketing & Sponsorship Director for Dolphin Mall. “We are so excited to introduce the ‘new and improved’ Yearbook Yourself. People will find it easier and even more fun to share with friends, and they’ll find great back-to-school shopping deals when they click through to our stores.”

Visitors to the new YearbookYourself.com will discover new templates for hairstyles and fashions, from mullets to dreadlocks, along with improved functionality and the ability to fine-tune details such as skin tone and photo orientation. You can “Yearbook” your friends this year, as well: couples and groups can go sporty, rock ‘n roll, geeky and a variety of other looks through the ages, then photos can be saved, printed or posted directly to users Facebook profile and shared with friends.

In addition to the sheer fun, YearbookYourself.com offers fashion tips and trends and highlights retailers at Dolphin Mall offering today’s hottest looks and special deals for back-to-school shopping.
