FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

DOLPHIN MALL TO INAUGURATE COMMUNITY POLICE WORK STATION

Miami - Dolphin Mall, in a cooperative venture with the Miami-Dade Police Department, will inaugurate the new Miami-Dade Police Department Community Work Station in the Ramblas zone on Thursday, May 17th, at 10:30 a.m., announced Barbara Kreuser, general manager for Dolphin Mall. Local dignitaries including Commissioner Souto and Major Robert Munecas of the Doral District, will be on hand for the ceremony that will include a ribbon cutting and a tour of the station.

The Miami-Dade Police Department Community Work Station at Dolphin Mall will be utilized by uniformed police officers that are on routine patrol, either on bike, on foot or in police vehicles in and around the shopping center. Miami-Dade County citizens will be able to approach officers for routine police reports and/or to make general inquiries.
"The workstation is the direct result of efforts made by the Miami-Dade Police Department and Dolphin Mall to better serve the citizens of the Doral area," said Kreuser.

This marks the first Police Work Station to open in the Doral area and the 15th in Miami-Dade County.

Additionally, the Miami-Dade Police Department of the Doral District and the mall will host a safety weekend on Friday, May 18th and Saturday, May 19th. Events will include:
