MORE THAN 50 STORES IN 50 DAYS OPEN AT DOLPHIN MALL
Total retailers now exceeds 200
MIAMI, FL - April 26, 2001 - More than 50 additional stores and restaurants have opened at Dolphin Mall since Miami-Dade County's largest value shopping/ entertainment complex celebrated its opening weekend.
"Since our grand opening in March, more than 50 new stores and restaurants opened to the delight of our customers, from Dave & Buster's, and Johnny Rockets to Bombay Outlet and Bath and Body Works," said Maria Llorca, Dolphin Mall marketing director. "People who were here opening weekend and have since returned tell us how much fun they have had discovering all of our new additions."
Food
Two new restaurants, which serve fun with food, include Dave & Buster's, a sprawling, 60,000-square-foot ultimate play place for grown-ups, that offers different dining venues - from full-menu table service to sports bar, pub or eat-while-you-play fare; and Johnny Rockets, a nostalgic '50s diner with hand-dipped malts and juke boxes at every booth.
In addition to Johnny Rockets and Dave & Busters, Atrio, Dolphin Mall's food court, offers a variety of tastes ranging from Argentinean, Middle Eastern and Asian to Cajun and thoroughly American chicken, hamburgers and steaks.
In addition, shoppers can snack at the newest food specialty shops, such as Cinnabon, Haagen-Dazs, Twist & Shout Gourmet Pretzels and the country's first ChurroMania, a South American-based baker of sweet pastries called "churros" that come plain or delectably topped or stuffed.
Fashion
Fashion retailers who have opened since Dolphin Mall's debut include the country's first OVO, a Latin American retailer of avant-garde men's and women's apparel and accessories by popular French and British designers.
Other newly opened apparel stores include Florida's first Cristina Nicole, featuring the retailer's own brand women's clothing discounted up to 50 percent off comparable national brands, and Papaya, junior and petite fashions discounted up to 60 percent off retail prices.

Several other Dolphin Mall recent additions also are making their first appearances in Miami-Dade County. They include Seen on Screen - As Seen On TV, a Florida first featuring hundreds of products shown on TV commercials, infomercials and in catalogs but typically not available in stores; Glow, an intriguing world of merchandise - from clothing, jewelry, art, toys and gifts to home accessories, paint and wallpaper - that glows in the dark; Bombay Outlet, Top of the Line Fragrances, Planet Art and World Art Gallery Outlet.
Dolphin Mall, which opened March 1, is an enclosed value retail/entertainment mall with an 850-seat food court and more than 200 retailers. Additional stores will open throughout the year. It is located just five miles west of Miami International Airport, where the Dolphin Expressway and the Florida Turnpike intersect. Shoppers can access the mall by taking Exit 27 off of the Florida Turnpike. Shopping hours are 10 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. Monday through Saturday, 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Sunday.
