An Afternoon of Live Latin, Jazz, Rock and Dance Music
MIAMI, FL – December 24th, 2002
Dolphin Mall, Let’s Make a Daiquiri! and Sam Ash Music are pleased to unveil the “Live Locals” musical entertainment series on Sunday, January 5th, 2003 at 1PM. Each Sunday in January will feature three local area musical acts and one DJ – a veritable rotating lineup of Latin rock bands, alternative acts, jazz groups, solo artists and more. Performances are to be held in the Ramblas Plaza near entry number three.
The debut weekend will present the Latin rock upstarts Trio Ferro, the rock stalwarts DC-3 and the eclectic quartet Swivel Stick performing a jazz set. Each act will play one 45-minute set and local spinstress DJ-Sheemay will entertain in between with her fabulous break beats and great lounge vibes. The “Live Locals” series is just the latest in a continuing program featuring live, free entertainment in the Ramblas Plaza, adding to the lineup of Friday and Saturday evenings from 7 to 11PM.
Dolphin Mall is an enclosed value retail/entertainment mall with an 850-seat food court and more than 200 retailers. It is located just five miles west of Miami International Airport, where the Dolphin Expressway and the Florida Turnpike intersect. Shoppers can access the mall by taking Exit 27 off of the Florida Turnpike. Shopping hours are 10 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. Monday through Saturday, 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Sunday. Hours for anchors, dining and entertainment venues may vary.
