FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
DOLPHIN MALL - JUST THE FACTS
Not Just a Mall
Dolphin Mall is Miami-Dade County's largest value-shopping/entertainment center. It combines themed restaurants and unique entertainment with a retail mix of upscale designers and popular family brands sold through manufacturers outlets, department store and specialty retail clearance centers, category-dominant superstores and value-oriented retailers.
Where Are We?
Just five miles west of Miami International Airport, where the Florida Turnpike and the Dolphin Expressway (836) intersect.
How We Measure Up
1.4 million square feet, covering 120 acres, including lakes. Although most of Dolphin Mall is enclosed and on one level, there's also an outdoor, urban-chic piazza with patio dining and retail shops included in a 358,000-square-foot entertainment area.
Well Anchored
18 anchor stores, including an interactive Oshman's SuperSports USA. Anchors new to Miami-Dade County include Dave & Buster's, F.Y.E. For Your Entertainment and OFF 5th - Saks Fifth Avenue Outlet Store.
Let Us Entertain You
Dolphin Mall is chock full of entertainment options: a 19-screen Dolphin Cinemas 19 megaplex, MARS Music's Rock U, fantasy photos at The
Complete Picture, "eatertainment" at Dave & Buster's and an Oshman's
SuperSports USA with its own batting cage, golf simulator, basketball court and in-line skating area. A custom-designed, beach-themed play area, located in the food court, beckons youngsters to climb on a dolphin's back, hop onto a pearl in a clamshell and jump atop a tortoise.
Playing with Food
A collection of themed Dolphin Mall restaurants makes it okay to play with your food. Sit-down restaurants with fun on the menu include Johnny Rockets, featuring nostalgic '50s fare. There's also an 850-seat food court with selections ranging from Italian, Chinese and Japanese to Cajun, Argentinean and Middle Eastern, plus thoroughly American chicken, hamburgers and steaks.
From Abroad
Dolphin Mall will be the first North American outlet location for Colombia-based Mario Hernandez designer leather goods. Other Latin American retailers opening their first stores in the United States at Dolphin Mall include Basico, Bosi, Chispa de la Vida, ChurroMania, Ovo and Marthita Jewelry.
New to the State
Among the specialty stores new to Florida are Baker's Outlet, Cristina Nicole, Epic Designs, Eye Candy, Giorgio's Designer Outlet, Hilo Hattie, Norka, Taha Shoes Outlet, Seen on Screen - As Seen on TV.
What Else is New?
Among the specialty stores new to Miami-Dade County are BCBG MAX AZRIA, Carters, Glow, Hot Topic, Jewelry Castle, Knife Factory, Lucky's, Next, Marty's Shoes, Mikasa Factory Store, Motherhood Outlet, Next Authentic, Papaya, Planet X, Rue 21, Super Toys, Top of the Line Fragrances & Cosmetics, Treat Boutique, Twist & Shout Gourmet Pretzels, Vitamin World, Watch Me, Wilsons Leather Outlet, World Art Gallery and Zales the Diamond Store Outlet.
A Sight to See
Expected to be one of Miami-Dade County's top tourist attractions, Dolphin Mall will offer on-going travel packages featuring hotel accommodations and special offers at the mall. Dolphin Mall representatives will personally meet every motor coach tour at the mall's designated group-tour entrance.
Shopping by Design
The shopping center is laid out in a simple-to-maneuver racetrack design. The pathway, about two-thirds of a mile, loops through the entire interior, passing every store. A centrally located "street" bisects the path and acts as a convenient shortcut for everyone from precision shoppers to leisurely strollers. The center is divided into three zonas ("zones") -- Ramblas ("walk"), Playa ("beach") and Moda ("fashion") -- with a unique design adapted from the region's rich architectural heritage. To simplify shopping, stores are clustered by merchandise category with heavy concentrations of entertainment, restaurants, gift items and music in Ramblas; sports, lifestyle and mainstream apparel in Playa; and fashion, shoe and accessory shops in Moda.
What's So Special
Four conveniently located family restrooms where parents can comfortably accompany young children. They include child-sized toilets and sinks in private unisex stalls, with nearby nursing and diaper-changing areas.
Valet parking at two separate locations for those who prefer this convenience. Two strategically located Information Booth's featuring multi-lingual staff, currency exchange, mall gift certificate sales and wheelchairs. Luggage-sized lockers to stash belongings while visiting the mall. Shopping carts are located at five convenient locations. A special entrance, greeters and special discounts for tour groups.
